Folding plate from complete treatise on horse medicine, hand colored engraving, Paris, Edme, 1772, by J. Baptiste Michel after Harguinier, depicting a bandaged horse. Considered the best 18th century French work on equine medicine and the anatomy of the horse.

Lithograph poster with applied color “Horse skeleton and Outer Regions of the Horse,” c. 1900, Alp. Camille One-Paris (Alphonse Camille Jeune), manufacturer and seller of horse tack and riding equipment in Paris, France.

Considered the world’s foremost maker of riding equipment from the late 19th century into the 20th century. In 1892 Camille Jeune was the market leader in the industry in France and actively sold in Europe, South and Central America, the Middle East and Asia.
