Lot #051

Painting: “Bingo Card No. 22,” John Walker, 2005

From the series of small works that the painter John Walker (b. 1939) has produced over the past decade is this single example from 2005, titled “No. 22.”

Expressive in their nature, the body of work is primarily focused on landscapes near the otherwise Boston-based painter’s home in Maine.

This example comes from the first period of these works and bears Walker’s characteristic heavy impasto surface.

Signed and titled in white crayon on verso with white gallery tag at lower right.

Oil on bingo card.
